I'm probably going to delete this journal in a couple of days. It feels too cluttery. I've got a new one started so check your friends list. |

Last Friday I was driving to pick up some food for lunch and I had the urge to get out of town. I was thinking about the beach and Port Aransas and it sounded fun. When I got into the drive thru, the truck in front of me had a Laughing Horse Lodge bumper sticker. It's a really weird, kitchy little cottage place in Port Aransas. I took it as a sign and made reservations.
Some interesting things happened:
I got peeped on!
On my way to the bathrooms on the beach I was warned to watch out for the peepholes. I laughed when I got in because there was like 15 holes all around the bathroom. Not really concerned though. When I was getting ready to leave the bathroom, I looked back at the holes and saw an eye staring back at me!!! I yelled some expletives and ran out. By the time I got out, he was half way to his car. I can't explain how weird it was to see something like that. It made me feel really uncomfortable for the rest of the day.
I got sunburned!
Worse than I ever have before. Not all over. Just the places that I skipped accidentally with the sunscreen. Strip on the forehead, side boobs, middle of chest and FEET. I look ridiculous. I wonder if it's ever going to even out. :/
Got body lice!
Not really. Maybe? But some sort of bugs were crawling on us Sunday morning. Maybe they came from the beds in the hotel? Maybe my dog picked them up in the sand? I thought I was going to kill myself. I have FINALLY stopped having the feeling that stuff is crawling on me. I still don't know what those things were but they were the worst.
So, it was an okay trip. But, part of the reason I wanted to go, is because next week, I'm going to Cozumel. So I get to go to a good beach.I can't wait.

It's the Introspection Season, Capricorn. I encourage you to write copiously in a journal. Here are several themes that would be fruitful to explore: (1) Your most amazing qualities and your worst qualities. (2) The hundred things you want to accomplish in the next 30 years. (3) Your bitter complaints, horrendous pain, and lost dreams. (4) Everything you love and everything that's beautiful and everything that works. In addition to writing your heart out and your ass off, paste in cut-out pictures from magazines, draw pictures, and ask friends to write messages to you. |

 | You scored as Existentialist. Existentialism emphasizes human capability. There is no greater power interfering with life and thus it is up to us to make things happen. Sometimes considered a negative and depressing world view, your optimism towards human accomplishment is immense. Mankind is condemned to be free and must accept the responsibility.

haha I got a ticket about an hour ago on my way home. Prime example of my luck. I was going MONDAY to get my DL renewed since the office was closed today, and the records weren't updated in the DPS office when I called yesterday. |

I just took to first step into getting myself out of a pretty huge mess. Paid a huge fucking ticket today!
Ok
June 2003- Fayette County, I got a speeding ticket, forgot about it, failed to appear in court, got a $600.00 fine. I never paid the ticket, because the only consequence was that I wouldn't be able to renew my drivers license in 01/2005 which seemed so far away at the time.
September 2005- Guy hit my car with his car, busted out my headlight. Can't rent a car to put mine in the shop because my DL is expired!
October 2005-Car inspection Expired. Can't renew it because the stupid headlight is out. Can't get headlight fixed because I can't rent a car because I my DL is expired!
So, all of this is leading up to me getting lots of very expensive tickets. Expired DL, Expired Inspection, No headlight?
The funny thing is, once when I had some extra money, I did try to pay this about a year or so ago, but they sent it back because I sent a check, and you have to pay with a money order. Since I'm disorganized and retarded I never was able to get an actual money order to them that time. I tried!
The main idea, pay your tickets. Even if they are in small towns that you will never go to again. I know I'm going to get pulled over and get the fuck job on this deal anyway. As soon as I dropped off the money order in the mail I saw a motorcycle cop staring at me. It's going to take about a week for all the paperwork to go through. Wish me luck! |

I'm so excited. I got to see a Neurologist today in regards to my migraines.
When I first called a couple of weeks ago, I was told her next appointment was in February. I made a post on LJ asking if anyone knew any other good Neurologist in Austin. Well, this girl that works at a Neurosurgeons office read it, and got me at the one I wanted to see today instead of waiting for 6+ months.
The doctor was so great. She asked me a bunch of questions and tested my reflexes.
I have about 2-3 severe ones a month, and about 10-12 moderate ones. The severe ones require me to lay down in the dark. Lights and sounds and moving make them worse. The pain is too much to sleep through, and if I get a severe one in my sleep, the pain wakes me up. About once a year, I get a headache that last for about 14 days. It fluctuates from being severe and moderate, but it's there non-stop. It seriously makes me want to chop my head off. I have a few known triggers- barometric pressure changes, too much or too little sleep, red wine and alcohol.
So, I got some Topamax, which is a prevenetive medication. I've got Axert, which is an abortive medication. Phenergan, which helps with nausea and will knock me out and a sleeping pill to help me sleep because I'm having a lot of trouble with that lately and sleep deprivation = headaches.
She also ordered me to an EEG (brain wave) test. And an MRI, which will be really interesting because I'm a nerd.
Having insurance is the best thing ever. I am so excited about the prospect of finally getting these things under control. And this is the end of what is probably the most boring entry I've ever written. |
